DESCRIPTION:Learn the basics of welding in the introductory class! Get a step-by-step intro into fusing metals with MIG and stick welders. This class is geared towards students with no prior experience\, however\, you should be comfortable working with power tools.\n\n \n\nDress code for the Metal Shop: natural fiber clothing\, long pants\, closed-toed shoes (leather or natural fiber). No synthetic fabrics of any kind. Please don't wear loose-fitting clothing that could get caught in machinery. Long hair must be tied back. For your safety\, we provide welding jackets\, gloves\, masks and helmets with eye protection. You are welcome to bring your own PPE if you wish.\n\n \n\nHEALTH & SAFETY:\n\nThe health and safety of our attendees is our #1 priority. While we have a mask optional policy within the facility\, you must protect your lungs when working in the metal shop!\n\nPlease do not attend class if you:\n\n- are experiencing any symptoms of illness such as a fever\, cough\, or shortness of breath.\n\n- have tested positive for COVID within the past 10 days.\n\n- have not been symptom-free for more than 24 hours.\n\nIf you are sick\, please contact us to cancel and reschedule your registration.\n\n \n\n(1 Session\; Max. Class Size: 4)\n\nPrerequisite: Virtual material to be completed before attending the workshop (provided upon registration)
