Conversations: A Community Forum: What's in a Name

Join the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society for a community discussion on the use of Native American words and imagery in mascots and logos . This national debate recently hit home with both Hall and Conard High Schools deciding whether or not to change their team logos. Others have encouraged the schools to go further and rename their teams.
A panel of experts, including Liz Devine (Hall High School Social Studies), Dr. Tracey Wilson (Conard High School Social Studies), and Laurie Lamarre (Executive Director of the American Indian Institute) will each present their argument, then join a panel discussion.
