Friday May 7th 12:30PM- Meet for an outdoor lunch, ice cream or coffee at : Grassroots Ice Cream and Street Food 4 Park Place Granby CT (intersection of Routes 202, 20 and 189) Please let Dianne know if you plan to join us. This is a very cool, local spot with: Fair Trade regular and fancy coffees, sandwiches and an assortment of lunch items including vegan and gluten-free, homemade iced cream of a wide variety of 36 unusual flavors. They are open with only outdoor ordering, outdoor seating etc. There is a patio with a grassy area to enjoy. There are some small tables too. It wouldn't be weird if you want to bring your own chair and sit as far away as you are comfortable. Then after lunch- 1:30 or so-head up the road to O'Brien's Nursery 40 Wells Rd, Granby for a lovely walk. If you don't know this place, you must! It is an unbelievable garden center behind O'Brien's house- the grounds rival many parks and are worthy of photographs. This week on display will be "Enticing Epimediums". There might still be some Early Magnolias, and Early Rhodos in bloom. It is truly spectacular! We can wander at will but please do keep a mask on. We're used to that by now, right? Sneakers advised.
