Associations & Non-Profits
For All Ages is CT's non-profit organization dedicated to connecting the generations and inspiring action to end loneliness, reduce ageism, and improve mental, physical, and social health.
We create evidence-informed, positive, collaborative experiences between the generations to end loneliness and isolation, change the dialogue on aging, and improve health and well-being. We offer both virtual and in-person programs and events for people of all ages.
We are also the convener of The CT Collaborative to End Loneliness, a statewide alliance to foster social connection for CT's residents (see www.endlonelinessCT.org.).
Currently, more than 60% of Americans report feeling lonely. That equates to more than 2.1 million people in CT. Loneliness and social isolation have been identified as key social determinants of health, negatively impacting the health and well-being of people of all ages. Loneliness is linked to an increased risk of heart disease, dementia, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and suicide. Loneliness is also linked with gun violence, domestic violence, decreased workplace productivity, and higher employee absenteeism rates.
Since launching in 2019, we have connected 1,500 older adults and youth for 9,000 impactful hours, provided educational seminars to 3,300 people, hosted 11,000 people at large community programs, and delivered 14,000 cards to assisted living and hospitalized patients and veterans.
